The End of Wall Street's Boom
This recent article by Michael Lewis, author of the infamous book Liar’s Poker, is long but once you’ve read it, you and your former office mates can sit around the flaming garbage can and discuss the finer points long into the cold, cold night:
Good article. I don’t think Wall Street is dead though. Whatever regulations Congress dreams up, in twenty years or so they will decide that the market doesn’t need them anymore, and that what happened in 2008 will never happen again. And so the cycle repeats. Greed may not always be good, but greed is inevitable.
